When The Riverwood Conservancy (TRC) launched its first website in 2009, the organization was a different place. Our office space was smaller, our staff was smaller, and our environmental initiatives reached a smaller segment of our community. But over the last decade, TRC has grown to employ more staff, deliver more environmental education to students, and offer more nature-based programming to people across Mississauga and beyond.
Thanks to our dedicated staff, volunteers, and supporters, we’ve made a significant, positive impact on the environment of our city through conservation, gardening, education, and public engagement. While we focused our attention on nature, we continually made improvements to our marketing and communications efforts, but we couldn’t quite carve out the opportunity to make a sizeable upgrade to the look, feel, and functionality of our website – until now.
Today we launch a new website for The Riverwood Conservancy that better presents all that we do as an organization, and all the ways individuals and groups can engage with nature here at Riverwood. Whether you’re interested in volunteering with us, participating in our events, bringing a group out for a conservation activity or education program, or becoming a member of The Riverwood Conservancy, we hope you’ll find what you’re looking for and use this site to create a lasting connection with us.
This new website comes on the heels of a refresh of our printed materials in the summer of 2019 which saw us swap tri-fold brochures for smaller double-sided pieces of marketing collateral to cut down on our paper usage.
While our look is new, our commitment to nature and the environment of Mississauga is as strong as it’s ever been. Our education programs continue to serve elementary and secondary students, and individuals with special needs. Our conservation work continues to safeguard the health of Riverwood’s ecosystems. Our gardening programs continue to grow beautiful plant life around our grounds. And our public events continue to connect community with nature.
We hope you’ll like our new website, and thank you for being a part of our nature-based initiatives.
Special thanks to the team at VCOMP INC. for all their work in creating our new online home.
