The Riverwood Conservancy’s Junior Naturalists Club (JNC) is now accepting students for its 2020 Spring (March – June) Semester. The JNC gives kids from Grades Three to Eight the chance to explore the wilderness, connect with nature, and learn skills they can put to use everywhere they go.
This semester, Junior Naturalists will will learn about reptiles, identify wildflowers, walk through nature, take amazing photographs, and much more! The Junior Naturalists Club is made possible through the generosity of the University of Toronto Mississauga Centre for Urban Environments.

March 21 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Darling dabbling and diving ducks
Apr 4 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Behind the Scenes at the ROM
Apr 18 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Ravishing reptiles and amazing amphibians
May 2 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Pick it! Click it! Say cheese! Nature photography
May 16 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Wonderful Wildflowers
May 30 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Birds and Binoculars
June 13 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Critters of the Credit River
June 27 | 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Butterfly Bonanza
Meeting locations will vary, depending on the topic to be covered. Junior Naturalists regularly visit The Riverwood Conservancy, UTM Campus, Rattray Marsh, and Erindale Park. Organizers will notify participants well in advance the location of each meeting.
$120 per child for Members and Volunteers of The Riverwood Conservancy
$150 per child for non-Members/non-Volunteers
