Camp Riverwood's experienced environmental educators aim to inspire a love of nature and exploration within your child. Camp activities take place around Riverwood's forests, wetlands, and river valleys, as well as indoors at Chappell House. Campers’ well-being is supported by a 6:1 camper to staff ratio that allows kids to go at their own pace. Camps are open to children who have completed Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6. Here at Riverwood, they'll adventure with other like-minded youth to make friends and deepen their connection to the local environment and the wider world of nature.
Camp Riverwood’s approach encourages growth in children’s well-being, confidence, creativity and love of nature. We are intentional about building a fun, inclusive and supportive camp community. Offering a balance between planned activities and camper choices, we aim to give campers agency in their camp experience while creating ways to connect to each other and the environment.
Our March Break Camp is full of outdoor and indoor activities that connect kids with nature, while strengthening their knowledge of the local environment.
Our one-day camp offers kids a unique mix of nature education and exploration. Kids explore Riverwood’s trails and forests, and learn about the animals that call our natural spaces home.
Riverwood is abundant with plant life and wildlife in summer, making it the perfect time for kids to explore our green spaces and waterways. Enjoy a fun-filled week immersed in nature!
