Summer Camp Lead
Deadline to Apply: April 8

The Summer Camp Lead (SCL) will co-deliver nature-based day camp programs for children ages 6 to 11, reporting to the Camp Director (CD). Day Camp provides active, engaging, and meaningful outdoor experiences to enhance wellbeing, and grow knowledge and skills in biodiversity, conservation and gardening. Day camp will be staffed by the CD and other SCLs and supported by volunteers. The SCL will be involved in planning, delivering, and reporting on camp activities as well as directly supervising campers and volunteers. This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic, fun-loving and creative person interested in a career in nature-based education.

Summer Program Lead – Conservation

In this full-time, experience-rich, career-path summer position, the Summer Program Lead – Conservation, under the supervision of the Gardens Coordinator, coordinates, schedules, and leads summer youth volunteers with daily conservation activities to improve the ecological health of Riverwood, and provide opportunities for students to fulfil their 40-hour community service requirements.

Summer Program Lead – Gardens

In this full-time, experience-rich, career-path summer position, the Summer Program Lead – Gardens, under the supervision of the Gardens Coordinator, coordinates, schedules, and leads summer youth volunteers with all daily garden activities to keep the gardens at Riverwood looking beautiful, and provide opportunities for students to fulfil their 40-hour community service requirements.

Trail Ambassador
Deadline to Apply: April 8

In this full-time summer position, the Trail Ambassador (TA) is responsible for engaging visitor’s to Riverwood’s trail systems in a variety of activities. The TA will work to educate trail users of proper trail etiquette, trail rules and conditions, and Leave No Trace principles; as well as offering natural heritage education activities for the public to engage with. Under the supervision of the Community Program Coordinator, the TA supports community engagement on the trails at Riverwood, and when needed, the public Discovery program. The TA schedules, supervises and leads TRC volunteers in trail activities, which engage the general public.
