The Indigenous Network presents a day of learning, storytelling, art, readings, and films to honour truth, reconciliation, and shared healing. This in-person gathering aims to foster understanding, respect, and unity among all participants. The event will include:
– Reconciliation film screenings
– Sacred fire education and stories
– Cedar tea
– Recommended reconciliation readings from the Mississauga Library
– Art activities inspired by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action
– Historical education about the Riverwood lands and nearby treaties from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation
This event is a collaboration between The Indigenous Network, the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, The Riverwood Conservancy, and Visual Arts Mississauga.
