$5 TRC Members get in free

Winter is a great season to visit the open waters of Lake Ontario to view and appreciate the waterfowl displaying colourful and extravagant plumage that you can’t find in the forests of Riverwood. All levels and ages of birders are invited for this program: beginner, intermediate, and the experts out there!

Important Information

Dress for the weather. This is a rain, snow, or shine event unless severe weather is in the forecast. Consider bringing good winter boots, crampons/boot spikes, or a walking stick.

No dogs permitted.

Difficulty Rating

Easy. This program will involve a slow-paced walk on the flat trails at Lakefront Promenade. Dependent on conditions, the trails may become icy or snow-covered.

Cancellations and Refunds

Refunds may only be processed if a registration is cancelled five or more business days before event day. Advanced cancellations are subject to administrative fees. No refunds will be given for no-shows. For programs where the fee is $19.99 or less, no refunds will be issued due to processing fees. If the program is cancelled due to weather, illness, or minimum participants not registered, we will attempt to reschedule, or a full refund will be issued based on the circumstances of the cancellation.
