Birds do it. Bees do it. So do some reptiles, a few mammals and even a fish. Dave Taylor explores how flight works and how our knowledge of feathers is unlocking a new door for paleontologists.

About the Presenter

Dave Taylor is a wildlife photographer and the author of more than 40 books on wildlife and ecology. His most recent book, Black Bears: A Natural History (2nd edition), is available now. Dave also focuses his efforts on producing educational videos and material about wildlife for both the public and to support school curriculum. He has travelled throughout the world, capturing nature with his camera, and he frequently visits Tanzania, where he guides wildlife safaris. Dave taught science and geography for more than 30 years, and nature photography at Humber College for more than 25 years, and today is a consultant for The Riverwood Conservancy.
