Learn all the best ways to provide food and shelter for native pollinators, while delighting your family and neighbours with textures, shapes, and colours. Learn to assess site conditions and create a beautiful garden design that meets pollinator, plant, and your own needs. The challenges of tough sites such as boulevards and balconies will be addressed, and design templates will be available for attendees upon request.

About the Presenter

Throughout her fifty years of gardening experience, Jeanne McRight has focused on environmental conservation, specializing in native plants, woodland restoration, and naturalized landscaping. Jeanne founded the Mississauga not-for-profit organization, Blooming Boulevards, in March 2019 and is currently its President and Executive Director. She also is a horticulturist, Master Gardener, and a Director of the Cloverleaf Garden Club. Jeanne frequently conducts presentations and workshops on sustainable gardening topics for horticultural groups, garden clubs, and public events such as Canada Blooms. Gardening is Jeanne’s joy and passion, but more than that, she is a deeply committed advocate for environmentally sustainable horticultural practices.
