Road access to Chappell Lawn will be closed. Please park in the Main Parking Lot and walk over using Riverwood Park Lane. You will be asked your name at the barrier in order to enter the event.
If weather conditions are not ideal for star gazing, we will cancel the event at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 10, and postpone the event to the next day, Wednesday, September 11. Please watch your email for updates in this circumstance. Please check your junk or spam folder.
This program is suitable for all ages.
No flashlights or flash photography on Chappell Lawn.
No dogs permitted, service dogs welcome.
Difficulty Rating
Accessible. The program will take place on Chappell Lawn. Accessible parking is available in the Visitor Parking Lot; please inform volunteers at the barrier on Riverwood Park Lane for entry. Note that while Chappell Lawn is generally accessible, there are some uneven sections.
Cancellations and Refunds
Due to processing fees, there are no refunds for no-shows or cancelled registrations for this event. In the event of a weather-related cancellation, the event will be rescheduled to the following evening. There are no refunds if you can not attend the postponed date. Should poor weather conditions persist, the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC) reserves the right to either implement an alternative program or cancel the event entirely. In the case of a complete cancellation due to weather, attendees will have the option to: A) receive a full refund, B) transfer their tickets to the next month’s event, or C) generously donate their fees to support future programming by RASC and TRC.
