After Class @ Riverwood gives secondary school students (Grades 9-12) the chance to connect with nature after their day in school, with events modelled off our LEADS (Leadership in Environmental Achievements through Diversity and Skills) program.
In this program, secondary students will learn how to navigate with a map, avoid getting lost, record data about hikes, go geocaching, or play Pokemon Go at Riverwood. Students will examine fossils and rock outcrops too.
After Class @ Riverwood programs are outdoors, contactless, and follow social distancing rules. Masks required to accommodate safe travel on public trails. Events happen rain or shine, but will be cancelled in the event of thunderstorms or high winds (50 km/hr or above). Due to COVID-19 restrictions, each event will have a maximum of eight participants.
