Enabling Garden programs cover a range of gardening- and nature-based topics and are suitable for participants of all ages and abilities. Plus, we offer tailored programs to suit your group’s particular needs.Â
Do you work with a group that can’t make it to Riverwood? We can bring nature to you through one of our off-site programs.

Let us bring the wonders of Riverwood directly to you! Our off-site programs are based on the same principles of therapeutic horticulture utilized at our on-site programs, and are a convenient way to connect with nature for individuals who may not be able to make it to Riverwood.
Available year-round
$75 for up to three participants (no charge for care givers or assistants)
These small group sessions with our Therapeutic Garden Coordinator are ideal for individuals who could benefit from additional hands-on guidance. We can customize our programs to fit individual needs and interests.
To enquire about booking a Customized Small Group Program, please email our Therapeutic Garden Coordinator, Kerry Furneaux.
When a program must be cancelled by The Riverwood Conservancy (TRC) or the school, for instance in the case of inclement weather, bus cancellations, or illness, TRC and the school will attempt to re-schedule. Inclement weather includes, but is not limited to thunderstorms, high winds, flooding, and temperature extremes.
TRC must receive notice of a program cancellation at least two weeks in advance of scheduled program. A cancellation charge of 50 per cent of the program fee will be applied when less than two weeks of notice is provided.
If technical difficulties on the day of the event lead to program cancellation, every effort will be made to reschedule, and no cancellation fee will be charged.
